Workshop on the use of human tissue models
Workshop on the use of human tissue models used in in vitro testing and researchWe are happy to inform that I-CARE is collaborating with SkinEthic Laboratories, France, to organize a 'Workshop on the use of human tissue models used in in vitro testing and research'. SkinEthic Laboratories- a L'Oréal Group company - is a world leader in the mass production of in vitro reconstructed human tissue models for more than 15 years. The epidermis model 'Episkin' and the 'Reconstructed Human Epidermis' (RHE) models were validated in 1998 and 2006 respectively as alternative methods to the use of animals in skin corrosion studies. In 2007, the 'Episkin' model has been also validated for skin irritation testing. The 'Human Corneal Epithelium' model (HCE) is presently a part of the validation process for ocular irritation tests. All tissues models can be used for safety and efficacy testing. For details of products being demonstrated kindly read the enclosed SKINETHIC pamphlet.
Registration is FREE. Registration will be on a first come first served basis.
